I have created a space with a circular waveform that includes sound to support the viewer in a space of contemplation. This circular waveform is made by embroidering space with a buttonhole stitch without a needle or substrate. Like a Mobius strip, it represents non-orientable circularity, devotion, repetition of mantra, and making. Sound mimics the vibratory nature of reality where one can find their original pulse and connection back to nature. I am currently creating an environment that reflects socio-political and socio-environmental concerns that are existential threats and by including sound to recognize our collective unity and allow for healing to occur within it.
“Dividing reality up into parts and then naming those parts is always arbitrary, a product of convention, because subatomic particles, and everything else in the universe, are no more separate from one another than different patterns in an ornate carpet." David Bohm, Physicist
"All matter has a wavelike character." Brian Greene, Physicist
