Investigation, Process, Inspiration and Layered Experience
My next adventure into experimental weaving included purchasing some pine to create a larger loom. While I enjoyed to size of the smaller loom, I could feel that it was too limiting for the materials I plan to experiment with.
Laid the pine down with a T-square to square it off then used wood glue and a nail to secure each corner. A i/2 inch up from the bottom I drew a line. Beginning from 1 inch from the side I made a mark every 1/4 inch, leaving 1 inch at the end as well. The tedious job was hammering in the brads and you have to be careful that the wood won't split so you may have to adjust the brad a little above or below every now and then to avoid this.
